I'm not sure if anyone knows this, but you can browse the menu by the keypad, instead of the joystick/rocker, by hitting the number keys that correspond to the menu item you want; it is mapped to the keypad. So if you want to get to settings:

menu key, then * then 5

Holding down the menu key will bring up a list of currently running apps. To close an app, scroll to it and it the backspace key (or the C key on other devices).

To skip the bootup music + hands animation, hit the red key when the animation starts, and it will take you directly to standby.

szabi4

The red key does not close the app. You can get back to it by pressing and holding the key on the left of the joystick. This show you all apps currently running.

Hi guys!

I was wondering... does the red key (hang up) close the active application on your e61 too? Because in Series60 v2 it only jumped to the desktop, leaving the running app in the background but not closing it (as in my E61). Is this a bug in my phone, or is it default for all S60v3? If so, is there a way to change it back to the old behaviour?

I use this shortcut for deleting emails, and un-installing programs, and come across it in many more progs.
It’s the combination blue key (left-bottom) and then the backspace key.
This intantly deletes an read email for you (way faster via the menu).
Not sure if this hasn’t been discovered earlier yet (it’s not on the list)… hope it’s usefull for you!

Wow, at my great surprise. When I press and hold the "P" key, E61 open the WAP Browser. And I can now connect to my wap_Yahoo mail by GPRS (in case there is no WiFi). It is a great convenient because it will save my money.
