Got the BB Connect working on my E61 and my boss's E90. Problem we have is when we send e-mails from our lotus notes account, it synchs over to the sent messages folder on our Nokia's but shows our names as the one the e-mail is being sent to and not the real person the e-mail is being sent to. When we open the e-mail it then shows in the header who it is being sent to but then we can't see the body of the e-mail.

If sent directly from the Nokia device, sent itmes folder works fine and shows who the e-mail is sent to and you can see the body of the e-mail. Any ideas if this works as designed or is it a setting we can adjust?

Your best solution to check Yahoo! & Gmail is to use Seven.
Ed has got an AWESOME post there: http://www.e-series.org/archives/392

Jason,

Your solution is to go for BB connect with Rogers ($40 for 7Mb). You can have up to 10 addresses checked separately. Since you have 4 e-mail addresses, you can have 4 accounts on your BB connect and see each e-mail account separately, respond from the same, etc.
You should watch carefully how many e-mails you receive in a month to determine if 7Mb is enough or if you should go to the 25Mb plan ($60).
For calendar, contacts and notes, you should use PC Suite. If you don't want to do it using the cable, bluetooth is your best bet. I have my PC Suite setup so that as soon the phone is in sight's of the PC's bluetooth module, it syncs.

Hi Admin,

I need some help. I ordered the E62 from Rogers here in Toronto.
I haven't received it yet, but I want to be prepared!
I know I can browse the web and get my email, or use Rogers MyMail, or Blackberry Connect. I have no idea how to get Microsoft Exchange so I can sync my calendar too, I guess it's a big expensive and complicated program for businesses. I'm self-emplyed and have 4 email addresses that come to 4 separate inbox folders in my Microsoft Outlook 2003, a program I really like. I'm hoping I can sync my contacts, calendar, tasks, notes and email with my E62. I don't mind if all the syncing has to be done locally EXCEPT the email. I want to be able to receive email while I'm on the road. I guess it shouldn't conflict with the local sync if I just turn off the option to sync the email when I do a sync locally, right? I'm afraid if I do both it might get buggy.
Anyway, I think I have to pay for a cell phone plan and a data plan. I think I can pay for chunks of data, but it sounds like I may have to sign up for Blackberry Connect or Rogers MyMail. Is that even MORE money?? I'm not sure how these work, or which one I should get. I would like my emails to come into separate inboxes like in my outlook... but if they have to come to one inbox, I'd at least like to see what address they were sent to, and have the option of sending from any of my addresses when composing or replying.
I seem to be finding little bits of info here and there, and the Rogers reps seem clueless. I would love any info you could possibly give me!
Thank you!

Hi guys,

Nokia have released v7.1.4 of BB Connect for the E61i over at the business downloads website:

http://www.businesssoftware.nokia.com/blackberry_downloads.php

Please note that although it states it is for Germany only, it is working perfectly on Vodafone in the UK.

Been searching for this for since I got the handset, so thought I'd let you all know.

Enjoy!

Hi NP,

1. Ask your IT admin for your Exchange server address. No one else can help you.
2. Access Point is the name of your internet connection profile. For T-mobile it could be T-zones or another of their data plans. It depends on what data plans you have.
Cheers

Hello,

There was a November inquiry concerning concurrent use on an E61 of Blackberry Connect and Mail for Exchange to allow for separate personal and business mail on one device.

Has anyone successfully done this? Mail for Exchange 1.5’s release notes warn that syncing e-mails, contacts or calendars with Nokia’s PC Suite after installing Mail for Exchange “can corrupt the hones memory where these items are stored”.

I am currently syncing the E61 with my personal MS Outlook contacts and calendar at home and using T-Mobile with Blackberry Connect to push personal e-mail.

I want to add Mail for Exchange in order to get e-mail from the office MS Exchange server while keeping that mail separate from my ppersonal e-mail on the E61.

Any advice or experience with such a scenario anyone?

Thanks,

Eric
