Steve has pointed me to the E-Series Blog where asome pretty cool make-overs are being created for the E61/E62. Now this one shown here… this pink one… just who do you think would appreciate that? I’m not gonna say that…
Pink+silver keypad is still better than black+silver keypad… As pink mingles well with silver keys in keypad. But I love to see “BlackCover + Black Keypad” of E61…
im actually in the process of mix matching the black with the original silver. ill post more pictures when im done
I just got a new black faceplate yesterday. Was real simple to put on, just need a torx-6 screwdriver. The replacement case is a lot thinner and lighter. Also, the top on the front of the phone moves around a bit and isn’t bound tightly like the original. It’s actually a bit annoying since it rattles. Also, the bottom part of the front is heat glued together and I can see it coming apart real soon. All in all, the replacement faceplate seems ok, but not as nice of a fit as the orignal.

Yes i ran into the same issues as you did. But here is what i did. For the front face plate the rattling is mainly coming from the power button due to no rubber placement holder which the original has. So what i did was carefully remove the original front face plate and over the original buttons over to the black face plate. Then i put double sided tape around the edges and stuck it together, just like the original.
For the front bottom piece i also put a thin piece of double sided tape on the left and right side and stuck the piece together. Then i put super blue on the back making it forge into one piece.
After doing that my face plate feel just as solid as the OEM ones. Try it

How does the case fit? Tight? Loose? Good fit, bad fit?
I keep dropping my e62…dunno why, because I’ve big hands (apparently not big enough for this wide phone). I’ve owned it maybe 3 months but it looks a year old!
I’m either going to purchase one of the faceplate clip-ons from e-bay or purchase from blueunplugged.com for an original one. The clip-ons may not be for me, because I also plan on buying one of those acrylic armor covers so i won’t damage my phone again…this means that the armor may not be able to fit over the clip-on cover…
