Another Nokia E61 Case - Piel Frama
A friend of mine ordered a Piel Frama case for the Nokia E61 and was kind enough to let me take a first, quick, look at the case. Piel Frama has some nice Nokia E61 cases in various colors and leathers.
I didn't use the case long enough to be able to give a fair review of it but I liked it during the short time I had access to it.
The case come with a belt-clip that is also removable. I nice feature is that are slots for credit cards and MiniSD cards in the cover of the case.

The price, including shipping, anywhere in the world, is Euro 60.

It is very similar with tne Noreve one. The problem is you can’t use the earphone plug. In case you have stereo hearphone and you use your E61 like a MP3 player you can’t close the case. It is not very comfortable.
For now the most convenient I’ve seen is still the Vaja.

Right,
nice case i quess, but the mentioned prooblem with the pop port connection to headset and the idea of the phone beeing covered (no acess to the screen without opening the case makes it just a bit unpracticall for me … i use the krusell solution for e61 wich works fine the only downside is the anoing boubless on the screen that come betwen the plastic screen cover and the actuall screen … i wonder if thats the case with vaja also …
that said im still on the lookout for that perfect case

I’m using the Golla -case (music case). It’s perfect for the E61 and works as a wallet at the same time. http://www.golla.fi/index_flash.htm

I´ve used PielFrama cases for some time and I highly recommend them. Great build and leather quality.

bojan,
to get the “_” key (underscore) you need to press the “Chr” key located to the lower right, then scroll down 4 levels and there it is.

All of these cases are painfully ugly and not very usable. One of the best things of the Blackberry I left behind (along with the scroll wheel!) was the great belt holster that came with it, perfectlymolded to the BB and designed to lock the keys. Basically nothing could shake the device free.

The advantage of having Piel Frama Case is that it has very high quality leather and ABS inserted protection so if you drop your cell there very less chances of the same getting damaged.

Well I couldn’t decide between the Vaja & the Piel Frama so I ordered both. I hope the Vaja is better than the Piel Frama. When it 1st got here, I thought wow this looks great. That was about as far as it went. The leather “bar” betwen the screen and keys was not cut even. When I put the phone in I found it very difficult to use the top soft keys since the “bar got in the way. This is not because of the uneven cut, it is a design problem. Then there is POP port problem. I would think for $70.00 it would have been a lot more user friendly. I hope the Vaja is better. Oh, Piel Frama’s response was for the most part “to bad” I would not suggest this case for anyone who is going to do more than use a bluetooth headset.

Unfortunately, the majority of Jack’s comments above are correct and in fact I have struck a bigger issue. Firstly, the leather bar dividing the screen from the keyboard continually gets in the way of the top function keys. Sadly, I am on my 3rd case for the model. The first was, taken back in first week as it was cut unevenly and so thin in one part that I was concerned about it breaking. The shop changed it no questions asked. The second one showed what was a major issue the same dividing bar is actuall not only leather but a thick strip of plastic with thin strip of leather glued on top and with use the leather separates. I raised this directly with Piel Frama and their customer service was very good and replaced the case. Replacement Case #3 now has exactly same problem. I wonder if anyone has the same issue with this case?
