I've been looking into this situation for a week or so. "technofauxb" seems to have the right idea. not sure what the nokia hda-11 does exactly, but it makes it work! Haven't tried it yet, but am leaning towards ordering it.

Does anyone have any thoughts on using an adapter like this one:

http://www.semsons.com/2miusband3st.html

I'm in the process of trying to find a compatible mini-usb adapter. I started looking into this possibility because everything I read involved "enhancement not supported". Any thoughts would be great. Just want to get it right and hear some tunes!

I wanted to plug my E62 into the auxiliary jack of my car, to listen to music, podcasts, etc. stored on my phone. Since you get that pesky "enhancement not supported" message if you try to plug most 2.5mm adapters into the phone, I bought the Nokia Phone Adapter (HDA-11) from the Nokia website:

http://www.nokiausa.com/link?cid=EDITORIAL_250345

I then plugged a Radio Shack 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter (274-004) into the Nokia Adapter:

http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2603246&cp

Then I just plugged one end of a standard 3.5mm cable into the Radio Shack adapter and the other end into my auxiliary jack.

Works great. I now listen to podcasts as I drive. Total cost, about $25.

And yes, it's in stereo.

Trevor,

You can watch anything in 3GP format on the E62. Just find a conversion program. I use winavi converter.

HI,
At the very 1st look i was in love with NOkia e62, but all my dreams were
shattered when i noted that it had a very poor mp3 player. Actually i was
fooled, the mp3 player had equalizer ( bass, treble , everythin), but its certainly of no use, as even with the wired headsets the sound is very poor. I tried with nokia hs47 headsets which supports stereo playback but the output
was a real shit. These nokia people has been playin games with my heart.
Plz do let me know if there is a way to get good stereo output & how it
is as compared to ipod. Please do let me know about the same, i’ll b really thankful to you.

I'm not sure if the "enhancement not supported" issue was fully dealt with? My stereo headphones from my old motorola ROKR and my 2.5 - 3.5 adapter won't work? Is there hope for me to listen to music in stereo on my E62?????

Hi Marco,
E61 and E62 use MiniSD (the newer E65, E61i and E90 all use MicroSD). However, i really doubt that even a WiFi mini SD would work. My suggestion is that if WiFi really is important go with the E61. With E61i out you should be able to see some good deals for the E61.
Just my suggestion...

I am about to get an E62. I really would like ot have wifi if possible (I know I should have bought an E61... but I am cheap!)
Do somebody know if a wifi microSD would work? (I do not mind if it sticks out a little...)

I have had my E62 for about a month- now it gives me an error:

"Error S7904" and tells me I need to update the email client. I have tried to, but it keeps telling me that the messaging folder is open, and to close it and try it again. My question is how do I get there, without opening the messaging folder to update it!?

Help me, I am going crazy- the Cingular people couldn't even figure it out.

Thanks!

With regard to email on the E62, does anyone know if and how it may be possible to enlarge the type size when reading or composing? Is there an email program available that has a larger font than the default program?

Thanks for any help!

I want to play music from my E62 on a sound system. Looks like the Palm and Nokia stereo headsets both work, so I doubt software is involved. I think the jack is wired like this: tip and top ring are the L & R, lower ring is mic & push button. Measuring lower ring with an ohmmeter, it's got a diode response plus about 1.5K that lowers to about 30 ohm when you push the button. These mics require about 1.5 volts bias, so the phone must send this out the bottom ring and can sense the current somewhat revealing the presence of the mic and position of the button. So I am thinking if I make a breakout I can switch from the earbuds to a 3.5mm jack to play stereo on the sound system, but the mic and switch must stay connected to the lower ring if the phone won't cooperate otherwise. Anybody got more info?

I was so excited about my new e62 but have not been able to sync it with my entourage on mac which makes it a pointless device. I might need to return it and get a basic phone if I can't figure it out. The issue is I don't want to purchase 3rd party software if I can't get it to sync with my version of entourage. Can anyone help?
