I just purchased the e62 and was excited as I have always loved Nokia. Unfortunately I am having "issues":

--I synched my Outlook db which is rather large at 15K contacts

--Since then I am constantly getting "out of memory" messages

--Memory Check on phone indicates that there is 75MB free

I have contacted Nokia Customer Support and have received conflicting responses regarding ability of Address Book app to be able to handle large amounts of contacts. They have recently escalated to Level 4 (Developers).

My searches in other forums --- allaboutsymbian -- seem to indicate that "out of memory" errors are fairly common due to "shared memory". This is frankly a bit surprising to me as a business person looking for one device to manage my contacts and calendar. I NEVER had these issues with my former device -- Palm Treo650. I would prefer to stay with the e62 but may be forced to go back to another device.

Thanks for this forum.

The E62 is probably good for the US market with the mini usb port instead of pop ports and the 3.5mm audio connection. BUT, they took out the WLAN capability that the E61 has. This is very important.

Cingular forces the users to subscribe to their wireless internet service. This is why I opted for the E61. There are so many open wifi connections and E61 users can take advantage of that without paying too much for Cingular internet service.

Chris: any mini-SD wifi card requires a SDIO slot, which the E62 doesn't have. So there is no way you'll get wifi on an E62

Whitney, themes can be installed from the phone itself! I've installed themes using Wifi on my E61 straight from e61life.com for example.
However, I haven't tried emailing and for me the themes on rapidshare don't work. I think they don't work for anyone...

I absolutely love my E62! I switched from a Razr v3i w/ iTunes and I was a bit skeptical at first because of the E62 not having a camera but the phone has so many other features that you really don't even think about stuff like that. It's a wonderful device. I couldn't operate without it. Especially the full HTML browser and the IM's. When I brung mine to work , my co-workers were all on it. The next day , two people had went and got one so it looks as though they're selling pretty good.

Does anyone know where I can find a pink housing ? I looked on Ebay and I didn't come up with anything. Another thing - can themes be installed from the phone itself instead of using a computer ? It looks as though zip files can be opened on the E62 so i'm wondering if I email myself a theme , will I be able to open and install it ?
