Eye Candy
Something for the Apple and Nokia E61 lover. 11 Mac Pros, 44 terabytes and one Nokia E61.
Question: So what is this set-up (sans the Nokia E61) used for?
Thanks Aaron!

Nothing at all to do with the e61, but the e61 has saved the day.
We call it “Macworld” and it’s used during television shoots…
Was that a good enough hint?

Seems to me the 44 terrabytes of diskspace is used to store files containing music or movie clips. Are the multiple CPUs are used to distribute the load in a parallel web server environment?
iTunes(tm)?
As regards the Nokia E61, could it be it was used to administrate the servers either using the browser or ssh?

I sent the picture to Ed for this site. It is 11 Mac pros, each with 4TB of space. We use it in television during live shoots to digitize everything from the cameras live.
The e61, using bluetooth, has been a lifesaver in maintaining uptime.
