I was wondering if anyone knew what could cause my 62i to freeze when I open any media. It tells me crash detected before it freezes. Is there anything I could download to fix the problem? Or any other options? Help!!
It tends to do it most when I “try” plaing a song or ringtone.

I agree with josh S. I recently had a nokia E62, i was amazing. But the only reason i regreted buying it was because it had NO CAMERA/Video. It was at times confusing. But as was said before, it made up in battery life and stability, as well as the internet browser. I returned it and now am leaning towards the Treo 680.

I too have gone from a E61 to the 680. i couldn’t take the lack of apps like isilo, datebk6 and the streaming media choices were awful. I do miss the way the Nokia fit in my hands, my vaja case and incredible battery life.

The 680 is just as stable as my E61 was. Operating systems are a matter of choice. I have used WM and I hate it. For me 1. PALM OS 2. Symbian. 3. WM.
If Nokia could release a E61 with a camera and most of all support from major 3rd parties this device would “ROCK THE HOUSE. BIG TIME.”

I’m a long time user of Treo 650, JasJar and E61. I think that comparing the three different systems is quite useless. Every system have different features and different targets: how to compare them?

About Treo 680: Palm finally solved some critical problems that issued the previous 650. 680 has larger heap memory and it handles connections in a more stable way. I still disagree with the need of a multitasking system, if this means many resources lost.

@lutzs: WM is not so bad, but I find that JasJar is the only device that can manage more than three open apps without having the system to slow down.

ya when the time comes to copy and paste, I feel like throwing my phone on the ground and stomping on it….but when I remember the awesome web browser, mp3 player, stability, call clarity, battery life, and email options…I completely forget about all that…

Since this is Nokia’s first real stab at the Palm/Blackberry/WM market, I believe it can only get better with each reincarnation of the E-Series. I can’t wait! =)

I used to have the Treo 650. I thought the OS was one of the best. If it supports Wifi, 3g, and bluetooth with A2DP profile, I don’t mind switching back from E70 back to Palm. It is one of the fastest OS and certainly the most user friendly one also.

Have you guys tried copy and pasting with Symbian S60 on Nokia? What a pain.

I am incredibly torn between the Treo 680 and E61 (and to a lesser extent the iMate jasjam) as a replacement for my LifeDrive + SE Z600. I’d love any specific comparisons from people who have used both. I’m finding it too hard to make a decision fearing I’ll get a bad case of buyer’s regret

i am a treo 650 user and e61 user myself. i would both have it’s unique part as for the reboot of treo 650 usually it happen after a 3rd party application anyway i am changing my treo650 to 680 heehee cheers

I went from the E61 to the Treo 680 and it is a MUCH better device than the 650 was- the stability problems have now gone and it’s as stable as the E61 was for me.

It’s personal choice I guess as to what people like. Lots of people criticise Palm OS and other mobile OS’s but if it suits the individual that’s all that matters.

treo 680 is a nice fon, but i wont let go with my e61. for me, its the best fon ever, it has wifi, 3g and what else could i ask for? though, it lacks touch screen unlike palm fon devices.

i wonder why new palm handhelds uses obsolete technology and worst of all, its expensive despite of being antique. i used to like palm, i used to have several palm handheld comes into my possession. but now, things changed and palm cannot afford to give the features that i need.

palm is first on the PDA world and they sold lots of their devices in the past, it means that they can afford to purchase new technologies but why cant them afford to hire good engineers, programmers and stuff to upgrade their hardwares and softwares?

How can you guys love PalmOS that much? The system is crappy, old and technicaly very low.
I had many Windows Mobile PocketPC devices before my e61, WM is a good system and PocketPC Phones are the best of the usability, technical features, microsoft integration and the many software available.
Now i have the e61 and i really love it. No touchscreen, but i think Symbian is the best OS for smartphones.

LOL - I couldn’t agree more. I too went from a Treo 650 and miss the rich SMS application and the many great 3rd party applications.
