Calendar Shortcuts
There are a number of more or less known shortcuts for the Nokia E61. Here are a few shortcuts specifically for the calendar application.

Pressing Blue function key and * repeatedly will cycle through the various screens in the calendar applications.
Date view -> To-do -> Month view -> Week view.
While in the calendar, pressing Blue function key and # will bring you back to actual date. This comes in handy if you are viewing a future or past date in the calendar and quickly want to return to today’s date.

In addition, instead of using the joystick or the left selection key to start a new calendar entry, just start typing. By starting to type your calendar entry the new meeting screen will appear with your typed text in the subject field.
Thanks to Carnero and TT.

Is there any way to set the default calendar entries to be public versus private?

These are great shortcuts, especially for someone who is always using the Calendar functionk, as I do. Thanks!

What theme is that?

Me want to know to. It’s not Pearl Black… Hmm.
A suggestion - When you made posts, could it be an idea to mention witch theme you use on the screenshots?

Oh, if you have not updated your firmware (I have not), then you don’t need to press the blue function key for the shortcuts.
I refuse to update my firmware, until the numberbug is gone. If I had to press the blue function key, to use the shortcuts in the browser and the calender, I would have gone nuts !

I just got my E62 and was a former user of a 6682 and an N90. My question is seeing as how the E62 has only about 80 megs of data space, is there a way to tell the phone to store all the contacts and calendar items to the memory card and not to the phone memory? Thanks!

Is there any way to put a full week schedule on active standby (instead of only 2 upcoming cal. entries)?
Thanks.

@ Vakul and Bobby68
Looks like the “DarkStripes” theme that comes on the E62. That’s the best theme I’ve used so far on my E62.

Well… It is not Dark Stripe theme.
The scrrenshot of the monthview has orange text and white appointments marker in Dark Stripes. I want the white text and yellow markers
AND, I want those appointments colors in weekview.

Is these screenshots from an E62 with native theme??

Hi Bobby68,
The screenshots are from the E62 using the bundled dark stripes.

That is the DarkStripes theme, at least on my E62. I was able to get the exact same look and colours in my Calendar.

eewww… So I can’t get THAT Dark Stripes on my E61. The ohter Dark Stripes is not identical to the E62-thing, not even close

We should request Babi to make us a dark Stripes theme for the E61. i installed the one Vakul posted, and the stripes are a bit garbled. help us!

How to save images using web browser
Hi, just thought i’d share. With the mobile browser, sometimes we want to save a picture. Well, i do it using this method… first, you’ll need a file explorer prog such as Y-Browser or SysExplorer etc.
go to the page u want using yr browser, then clear cache. Then reoload page.
finally, from yr Y-browser, go to c drive folder ‘cache’. The pictures etc will be there. Copy and paste it to yr E drive etc.

Unrelated question… Anyone know of a way to disable the voice button on the left? I am always accidentally recording stuff.

Calendar Alarms at Night: does anyone know a way to either silence calendar alarms during given hours, or at specified times, to automatically switch to a profile that does so?
i keep having to turn my phone completely off at night to make sure it doesn’t start chirping while i’d rather be sleeping. (easier to remember to turn it ON than to change a profile if it’s already on.)
thanks!

JQ asked this question previously and I didn’t see a response (sorry if it’s here and i’m just not seeing it):
is there a way to tell the phone to store all the contacts and calendar items to the memory card and not to the phone memory?
Thanks in advance for any info!
