Even More Mac OS X Themes
Dan Schwartz is a talented designer who has created a number of great looking Mac OS X themes for S40 devices. I have long wished that Dan would start creating S60 3rd edition themes. Christmas came early this year. Dan just released his first beta theme for S60 3rd edition.
Dan’s Mac OS X theme is bona fide. It is probably the theme that comes closest to the real thing.
However, all this attention to detail comes at a price. The themes weighs in at a hefty 3.5 MB. However, it is still in beta and being optimized.

I LOVE the OS X theme.
I wish there where some kinda course one could take, to learn the new theme creator for Nokia. I’ve created my share of themes, but on s60 2nd ed. It was a simpler time then
To bad Dan wasn’t able to change some of the folder icons in the main menu. Because of this I’m currently using the “Mac_intosh” theme by mobile-reviews.de.

I spoke to soon in my last post. I thought this theme was made by Paul on s60themes.co.uk. That’s the theme with the original folders in it..
I’v now used all the current OSX themes for s60 3rd ed, and I have to say, so far, the “Mac_intosh” theme by mobile-reviews.de rules.

Looks a bit blurry and “out of proportion” on the E61 :/
I wish that an optimized version for E61 will show up

There seems to be many Mac themes floating around… all copying from one and another with a bit of tweaking.

All those themes look blurry on both E61 and E70… Icons are not what I want and blue background when writing SMS is not good too…
So I use S60_White from S60.com

Thanks for the feedback guys - I’m still trying to figure out a couple of things (thus the Beta status), like how to change all the folder icons. I’ve got them made, just don’t know where to apply them. Many of icons are a combination png (my source material) and vector work in SVG format. I’ll continue to post updates to my site, as well as a list of known issues.

Finally the same interface as on the Mac. Very nice, congrats!
Mac users needs still an alternative to PC Suite in order to update the E61 with the USB-cable. Come on , NOKIA!!!

Ok, it tried and its working. Thoug there is a little lack of quality on the icons. It seems, that there are kind of downscaled and thereby there a unattractive diffuse… But still the best mac-theme I found!!!

the icons are in bitmap and not in SVG, that’s why there is a scale problem :/

I have just updated the firmware/OS of my Series60 N95 8GB Nokia fone and your wonderful app will not install - Symbian keeps telling me “Certificate Expired” I tried changing the date like with your previous wunderful theme but this is not working.

These theme does not work on my e61i. When installing, a certificate error accur. However, certificate check is disabeld. Does anyone have to deal with this problem too?
