On the Nokia business website, they mention firmware 3.633.11.01 for the E61... But it's not available in NSU and I wasn't able to find any other reference to it...

hi everyone, update went smoothly. Browser seems faster. Sound quality on loudspeaker hasnt improved and is perhaps worse.

major problems though for me are: message - "log: unable to execute file for security reasons.",. This message appears when, trying to view options menu on last dialed numbers, trying to delete many applications, trying to delete old notes which were backed up and restored after update. Can anyone help me with this? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. M

Is there a firmware version newer than ver. 3.0633.09.04?
How do you install or activate an over-the-air update?
How do you upgrade the E61 to Feature Pack 1, 2 or 3?
Many thanks.

I just upgraded to the new Firmware on my e61. What Blackberry Connect should I be loading in order for my Blackberry email to work in the United States over Tmobile? The Nokia Business Software downloader indicates that "Sorry, currently this operator does not support software for your device" when I select that I'm in the Americas and on Tmobile. There's still a PC download available [2.1.1.22] and I went ahead and downloaded it. I can't get my Blackberry e-mail to work. Should I download the UK version of BBC 4? Thanks.

I've got one question:

My version is 2.0618.06.05 but Nokia NSU says that no software update is available. The phone has some minor Vodafone customisation (i.e. I have all features, nothing missing but it has some bookmarks to vodafone services and so on). Is it because of this?

Thank you for your answers...

Andre, you might have backed up your old BB software and it's still "installed" in the new FW when you restored your files-causing a conflict between old and new versions.

Happened to me while upgrading to the 2.0x- I would reinstall the newer BB and it wouldn't work because the old one was still there. My carrier had me do a hard reset to clear the old BB and I downloaded the new BB and it worked.

With that in mind, I upgraded to the new FW minutes ago. Before doing that, I removed the current BB app and backed up all my files. Took 10 mins to install new FW, restored my files and then went to install the new BB from nokia site. Voila! Worked without a hitch.

E61's still a terrific phone!

Hi

Thank you so much for this posting. I upgraded my firmware and BB just stopped working. Went to Vodafone and they had NO clue what was going and couldn't support it. I was told to increase my contract for another 18 months if I wanted a phone - Blackberry - to handle my email on the move. But along comes this posting and the whole phone is working. I do so enjoy working with Nokia rather.

Honestly - thanks a lot.

Rgds
