Friday Themes - N95 Special
UPDATED: Additional theme!
Ever since I got the opportunity to briefly try out the Nokia N95 at Nokia World it has been on my mind. Normally I only covet the Eseries devices but the N95 is just absolutely amazing.
Well, there is no way I can justify buying another device at the moment so instead I am making my Nokia E61 look a bit like the N95 with two brilliant N95 inspired themes. Nokia N95_1 by www.mobile-reviews.de

I used the theme, It is awesome, but filling fields is difficult, the text-color and the highlight color are the same. Need an update

Even the black stripes theme has some issues with the background color and the highlight color.

same here, tried plenty of themes have this problems. too bad, so until now still using default theme.

I’m saving money for n95 gave up on junk food , chocolates and soft drinks someday i will buy it

Hi Ed,
The theme Nokia N95_1 can´t be downloaded at time you make a click on the name.
Off topic… I saw on Ebay a new Topram mini SD 4GB size, so the E61 could have almost the same memory size than N95 with this memory

awesome theme but it sucks that you cant see the text when composing a txt message as its a black font on this background you cant see.. email replying is ok though.. why cant the text in sms be white too? can that be changed? in settings?

I’ve noticed issues with several of the themes I’ve downloaded. I now wait for some of you to try it before I load it on my E61. The best one I’ve come across so far was the Beta11 that Ed posted a week or two ago. It lets me remove it if I want to, and none of the screens so far have text the same color as the background, and all of the screens are readable. I’m not a MAC user, (although in the old days I used to repair them), but I like the icons in the Beta11 just the same. One of these days I’ll pull out my copy of Carbide and try making my own.

a.) Fiddling a 4GB SD in won´t help for your E61, Valmore. It just supports SD up to 2gb according to my information. Nice try, but better save the money and put it into some reliable and fast quality 2gb SD.
b.) didnt try the theme by myself yet, but ALL black/dark themes have the same problem in some screens. You CAN NOT adjust the font color in those within carbide.ui (prog to design themes), which sucks very hard indeed. Only solution: Get a bright theme and say byebye to the dark ones

Wait till u see the E90!!! If you like the E-Series but also miss teh N95 features… and u like to have the look and feel of teh 9300… wait for the E90!!!

Can’t someone pull out the folders containing the original themes from the N95 or N93i and post em somewere without recreating them???

my N95’s secondary camera is not working, it says “Unexpected error occured. Power off the device and restart”, i did it many times but to no avail. Wat shall i do. Text me pls at 9193071618. Thanks.

For N95 themes, note the date it was released … change the date on you phone to one week after the theme was released, install then change backthe date back. The secondary camera is a common problem, its to do with the latest firmware. you can either downgrade to an older firmware version, or you’ll have to wait for the next nokia firmware upgrade.
