Just What I Need - S60 3rd Edition Application Blog
I’ve been waiting for this to come along - a great blog dedicated *exclusively* to S60 3rd edition applications. Nothing more, nothing less - just lots of posts about applications for the Eseries and the other S60 3rd edition devices.
One frustration I had when I first got the Nokia E61 was the lack of S60 3rd edition applications. What was even worse was the almost complete absence of information about where to find the few applications that existed and a brief description about them. A lot have changed since then.
Many, many more S60 3rd edition applications exist today but I still find it a challenge to find this information. Until, I came across SymbianV3 - a *great* blog dedicated to S60 3rd edition software. SymbianV3 is a repository of great applications - many shareware and freeware. I like Arda’s approach to his Symbianv3 blog. Short posts, with a brief description/overview of each application. The number of daily posts since this blog’s inception is impressive. It is only rivaled by the ever posting Stefan.
Keep up the good work Arda and don’t burn out!

1. Maybe someone will finally find a conversation-style SMS application for the S60 3rd edition.
2. That, and an updated version of Minute Manager for the S60 3rd would be amazing.
3. A way to synchronize or display all the details in things like “tasks” which somehow don’t sync with our S60 3rd edition phones.
4. Maybe even a 3rd party email app that can sync non-Exchange based Outlook inboxes.
5. Skyscape medical applications for the E61.
If I have those 5 things then there would be no need for me to carry my Axim x51v PDA along with my E61.

@all,
Actually there is no such thing as Symbian V3. I think the owner of the blog has his own reasons why he named his blog with Symbianv3.com. Looking at the posts in Symbianv3.com, it is clear that what he meant was S60 3rd Edition (S60 v3) and not Symbianv3.com.
Symbian OS has different versions and the latest one is Symbian OS 9.3.
Please dont be confused with the Operating System (Symbian) and the UI layer (S60)

Does anyone use a Symbian/Mobile program on their E62 that works well with MYOB Account Edge? This is an accounting/bookkeeping program like Quickbooks. For me, it’s not always easy to get to a computer to enter data, so it gets back burnered. If I had a mobile app. that I could even tweek to work with MYOB AE, I think I’d be in better shape. Any suggestions? I just saw a program called XFinance that can generate a qif., but it won’t install to the E62 for some reason. Anybody use this or anything else? Thanks in advance!

Came across a useful app today called ‘All Finder’
..type in a name and it finds, amongst other things, phone numbers which can be called immediately.
