Get it: Nokia Team Suite 1.0 For Nokia E61 / E62
One of my favourite Nokia applications is Team Suite. Up until now, Team Suite was only available on Nokia E50. I am glad to report that Team Suite has been added to the Nokia Catalogs and is now available for download.

Just go to Catalogs > Nokia Extra Applications > Office Tools > Nokia Team Suite.
Initiate the download and save. Team Suite is a powerful application and is worth a closer look by anyone who uses the Eseries devices.
Thanks Den!

I have an E61 however despite searching the Nokia site I have no idea where to locate the Team Suite software. Maybe I’m missing the obvious but can someone point me in the right direction please?
January 19th, 2007 at 4:48 pm
anyword how to get this for someone who is using a cingular e62? I don’t see a catalog app anywhere.
January 19th, 2007 at 5:39 pm
I’m on the e61.
I get an error “Some catalogs failed to load.”
How can I load the catalog? The list is empty…
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks -

If you are on a Cingular branded E62 you might (or might not) have the “catalogs” installed since Cingular controls what goes on the device.
Rolf,
You need to access the application through “Catalogs”
Kev B,
Use “Catalogs” to access the application

Cool - this looks sweet.
Only I can’t download it. My phone didn’t come with catalogs so I installed from the European nokia site - Catalogs-3.01.643 OTA Americas. I only get Handango and Jamster, no nokia options in the list. My carrier is ‘3′ Australia. Any chance anyone knows what I’m doing wrong or could post the Team Suite sis file directly?
Thanks - Andy

Guys, once you open catalogs, update its content from the option menus, if you gate a failure message do it again and it will work. Then when you get to the category of complimentary software, update it too. Then you will find Nokia Team Suite
January 20th, 2007 at 1:56 am
can someone upload the installation file online?
January 20th, 2007 at 5:07 am
Probably a stupid question, but does anyone have an E61 on t-mobile? I do, and I can’t figure out where the cataolgs app is. Downloaded it, but apparently it’s already installed. Anybody point me in the right direction? Please?!
January 20th, 2007 at 6:25 am
well i had the same problem with my handset from t-mobile uk. go here and dwonload it:
http://www.nokia.com/A4228134
select lanuage as US English and the same during installation. that should be able to fool your phone into thinking its a different app and allow it to install. however i have a proble updating my catalog list.
January 20th, 2007 at 6:31 am
update: if at first you are unbale to update your catalog exit and restart again. however it does not list nokia. any ideas?

Sorry I’m struggling as well. Got the E61 and:
1) Can’t find the catalogue folder (anywhere)
2) I also get an error when I try to install the catalogue from the Nokia Site.
Help please!
January 20th, 2007 at 10:18 am
Since firmware 2, catalogs can be found on the desktop of E61 and also in the Tools folder.

Nokia Catalogs: Useful and useless at the same time…
Props to Nokia for creating the catalogs aka the Download! client on most new Nokia models. It’s absolutley fantastic to have a single place to go to and find application you can install no matter where you are. It reminds…

Downloaded without problem. E62 Not able to load catalogs. “Catalogs” located in main menu but when selected shows “Catalog list needs to be loaded. Continue?” When “Yes” selected shows attempt to connect to MediaNet but no evidence of downloading of Catalog. Originally installed with option to place catalogs on memory card. Any advice?

Does anybody know if this auto defaults to the mobile number if your going to send an SMS?
January 21st, 2007 at 4:35 pm
Hey, Ed, still cannot switch from Macintosh theme? =)))
Using Nokia Team only for mass smsing to my friends and have no idea WTF is “Call conf. service”. Maybe the feature is just not supported by my operator (Megafon Russia, Moscow). Could anyone drop me a note on what this conference call service is?
Thanks in advance!
January 21st, 2007 at 4:38 pm
2 Jeb: if you send mass sms to list of contacts who have several numbers associated to them, you will have to manually choose phone number for each of them, even if you have default phone numbers designated for each contact (tested on Nokia E60, contacts with 3-4 numbers, default numbers selected for 2 of them)
January 21st, 2007 at 4:42 pm
2 Ed: Hey, still cannot switch from Macintosh theme?
me too.
Could anyone of you guys tell me what is “call conf. service” in TeamSuite is? I mean I know what conference call is =) but what’s meant in the program - how sould it supposed to work? In my home network (Megafon Moscow, Russia) is just have to call conference members one after another to join ‘em into conference, while TeamSuite is asking for some “conference call service number”…. I just have no idea…

Thanks

I am using firmware release 2 on an unbranded, unlocked e61 with the APAC keyboard. I found the catalog under the tools folder, downloaded the Team Suite along with Quick Office.
All seems to work OK. (And others’ experiences with locked phones just confirms my sentiments: never buy a locked phone if you expect to use all its features)
January 22nd, 2007 at 9:49 pm
Looks like if you have trouble downloading it, you have to do it through updating the catalog on your phone itself. I just did it via Wi-Fi
Fast&Easy! Sorry Cingular E62 users, this option is not for you!
Go complain to Cingular for ripping off its Wi-Fi and RIPPING YOU OFF!

I’ve updated my Vodaphone E61 to Firmware 2 and I don’t have catalogs listed. When I try and install the catalogs it says its inbedded already. So not sure what to do.

Hi Admin :
How do we unistall the previous version of catalog ? The reason i ask this is because when i try to install the new ver i get an error :
“‘Catalogs’ already exists. Replace version 3.00 with 3.01 ?”
When i say “OK” It says :
“Unable to install, component is built in”
How do i get around either uninstall the previous ver or get rid of this issue ?
Any assistance is highly appreciated.
Thanks

Nokia Team Suite - Now Available for ALL S60v3 Devices!…
I’m sure you all read E-series.org’s post last week about Nokia Team Suite being available on the E61/2 now, instead of only the E50. Well, it was only a matter of time before someone extracted the .Sisx file, and now…

i have Cingular E62, I used the download link provided by ase499, there was no problems during the installation. However when I updated the catalog, it says, “No catalogs. Select Options/Refresh list to download.”
I tried several times already including restart the application, but it still doesn’t work… anybody know why?

I keep getting authorization failed when I try to install Java applications on my E62 (VNC, RDM etc). How can I resolve that. Neither Cingular nor Shapeservices have been able to fix and each blames the other. Any solution for that?
February 7th, 2007 at 6:11 pm
I think the problem may be that the Catalogs app is unsupported in the US. Note that the application download isn’t on Nokia’s USA website, it’s on their Asia and Europe sites. I downloaded and installed the Nokia Europe version of the Catalog app. It installed okay but I don’t have any catalogs when I run the app or refresh. (I’ve got a Cingular Nokia E62 in the U.S.)
Quoting from Nokia’s Catalog app FAQ at http://www.nokia.com/A4228136 :
13. Catalogs is not working, what is wrong?
Most likely you have no data (GPRS / WCDMA) connection or coverage. Check your network settings and try again. Note however that in some countries, the Catalogs icon may be present in your menu but “empty” (that is, nothing happens when you select it) because the service is not yet supported in your area. In this case, please also try again later as new content is being regularly added.
When posters say it’s working/not working for them, they should detail: Nokia model, wireless carrier, country they are in.
