Going To 3GSM?
3GSM, the world’s leading mobile event, is about a week away. 51,000+ people will descend upon Barcelona with nothing but mobile and mobility on their minds. There are hundreds of exhibitors and there will be hundreds of product announcements. Are you going?

If you are going, good for you! Perhaps you could help us out and share some 3GSM euphoria with us. Send me your photos and and stories. It doesn’t have to be pristine photos or carefully written articles. Send us stories, comments, MMS, SMS, Photos to:
3gsm2007@e-series.org
Being an Eseries blog we are naturally extra interested in everything “E”
While at 3GSM don’t forget to stop by the S60 booth and say hi to Phil Schwarzmann.
Until 3GSM 2007 starts February 12th, here are some photos from the last time 3GSM was held in Cannes - 2005.
Oh, nostalgia, those were the days. When the only “meeting rooms” available were multi-million $ yachts rented out for the week to be used as meeting rooms, party pads and additional hotel rooms.
With Cannes convention center being right next to the water these yachts were just minutes from the center of the event.

I wish i could go to spain would be a nice change from the -20 C cold here in the north but I got to play with E61i and E65 (N95, 6300 too but thats not so exclusive any more hehe) today both look much better in person
E61i is slightly thinner and keyboard a little optimized, E65 also felt great and it has a mute button, pretty cool

Hi, I was at the 3GSM this morning, and here are my notes:
1) I didn’t take any pictures because I’m not good at that, and I forgot my camera at home ! (well, I took one of the samsung F700 with my phone camera). On the web you can see very good pictures for all mentiones phones.
2) E61i:
- is thinner and lighter than E61
- has integrated that group manager app that you can download and install on your E61
- connectivity menus are as bad as in E61; software-wise all config screens are the same
- no info on whether wifi sensivity is better, but my guess is not
- as you can se on the pics, it doesn’t have a stick, but it has some more quic-acces keys
- keyboard feels much better. That’s really a good improvement
3) LG makes very nice phones. Pictures don’t show all beauty they have
4) Samsung extra thin phones are a little too big (WxH) but really thin; it’s like holding one of those extra-thin flat remote control some small hifi sets have. Also, screens are really fabulous, with extremely nice colors. How can they do that ?
And the rest is the same as always, biztalk about value-added service, customer is the key, and the rest of the lies we all know about; the real thinking is: how can we make the customer pay more?
I might be going tomorrow again.

I had the opportunity today to try the prada phone:
- it’s very nice
- plays beautiful videos in landscape, but
- it hung when changing the color scheme
- touchscreen failed to register some clicks sometimes
- after playing for 30min, the screen was clearly dusty because of the finger touch
Nokia had the best featured phones, but the most ugly.
