I tried the macomster plugin - but when i then try to open isync it says i have to delete the plugin files to open isync - so i still can't sync the E61. However, somewhere in this whole process of installing the macomster thing, it's also removed the plug in for my 6300, so I'm worese of than before. Any suggestions?

Does anyone have know any way to sync E61 Notes with Entourage Notes - I just got a new Macbook Pro with 10.4.10 and the built-in iSync identifies the phone perfectly, and syncs Contacts and Calendar perfectly. But I am hugely dependent on Notes - I scribble lots of short notes through the day on my E61, and earlier, when I was using a PC, would organize them all after they were synced into Outlook. I just can't figure out how to get them into Entourage or any other note program. If anyone has a way to do this please let me know.

Important note about phone services on the mac. There are 2 types of plugins...one for iSync and one for Address Book.

I got my iSync plugin from Nokia, but I had to copy the folder which it installed into /Library/PhonePlugins to /Applications/iSync.app/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice/Contents/PlugIns/.

I got the Address Book plugin (allows SMS and call notifications) from Nova Media. (http://www.novamedia.de/e_pages/e_produkte_mac_ab_plugin.html) After installing it from the dmg it worked fine.

Hope this helps.

I just bought a Nokia E50 and I can't get it to work with isync by using either the Novamedia plugin or the Mactomster plugin. It worked one time with the Novamedia plugin but now it will get halfway through the sync process and either my computer tells me that "an unexpected error occured" or my phone says "system error." ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!! I've spent $35 on plugins and I can't get this stupid phone to work. I'm pretty sure it is the phone because I'm not having any other problems with the computer syncing to other devices.

I just purchased a nokia e62 which is a blackberry mail client and was advised the phone isn’t compatible with mac computers.

Well, to be more accurate they don't officially support the Mac platform, and if you want to actually setup Blackberry Connect on the E62 to work with a BES, you have to use a Windows machine (or VirtualPC/Parallels on your Mac) to do this, as there is no wireless over-the-air activation on the Blackberry Connect solution on the E62.

However, other than that and the Nokia Updater (to update the firmware should it ever become necessary), I can do everything else on the Mac itself, and am using a similar combination of Entourage 2004 and iSync to get everything over.

Further, if you are either connected to an Exchange server through a Blackberry Connect BES, or are using Mail for Exchange, you can also get the calendar information directly from an Exchange server. MFE also does contacts in addition to calendar entries.

Obviously this has the advantage of being a transparent wireless sync of the information in Entourage via a back-end Exchange server (in the same way that a Blackberry works). The downside is that you don't get tasks in the Calendar or photos in the Contacts, which iSync will provide.

Answer for Zod (if he ever comes here): I had a similar problem unstuffing the amazingly useful plugins over at , currently under active development for iSync 2.3 (under 10.4.8) and 2.4 (under 10.4.9). Turned out I was using an out-of-date version of Stuffit Expander.

If you're seeing a folder entitled __MACOSX it's time to upgrade. (It's free.)

Consider these plugins if your Nokia phone isn't yet supported under OS X. They are free, and have allowed me to use iSync with a Nokia E70-2.

I just purchased a nokia e62 which is a blackberry mail client and was advised the phone isn't compatible with mac computers. Absolutely inaccurate! I am able to sync the calendars and contact on 4 devices using a combimation of different softeware.
Using PocketMac's SyncManager I sync calendar events, contacts and notes from MS Entourage on my mac Mini (OSX 10.4.9) and the calendar, notes and contact programs on my RIM Blackberry 8700.
Using sync services in Entourage I synch with Apple's mail and calendar programs on the same Mac. I then use iSync to synchronize with my idisk/.mac account.
iSync also synchronizes with my laptop and the Nokia
