hi
nice phone man
I wana to update my E61 to E90
but does it have a modem??
and what about VOIP is it like E61??
and how match it costs??
thanks

About the modem I don’t know, I did read that it should cost somewhere between $700 - $ 800! But as can be read in the E65 review, that’s a more serious contender for me, this is way to bulky and besides that, I’ve already got myself a GPS module from nokia. That’ll work on any phone..

that is butt ugly

Front does not appeal to me …
I am curious if I would be able to attach any decent headphones to it, as I can do with my e61 using ad-41.

Great looking device with an impressive feature set!! I’m convinced, I’m getting one.

Finally. The form factor that Nokia pioneered is out with the state of the art. The 9300 was cool except it was too slow. I loved being able to have a long wide screen on the inside and also have a normal phone with normal keys to dial with when I needed a phone. (I’m more of an E70 fan than an E61 since when I call having to hunt down those small keys is a pain.) But with the E90 I’ve got a kick ass phone on the outside and an awesome wide screen and large qwerty keyboard on the inside. Come to think about it, didn’t Nokia first invent this kind of sideways clamshell!

i dont know about this one. “features” is a plus. i was a “9500″ before E61.

Although a somewhat cool looking device, Im not sure I like the form factor. Im sticking with the E61i as my next device

I love it, always wanted a communicator, but there was always a essential something missing for me, either vibration or qwerty keypad with backlight, now that these two features are in, this is going to be my next phone after E61.
Why aren’t there any pics of the back of the phone? I’ve searched erverywhere but can’t find anything.

I will go for the e61i asap
I own an e61 for a year now and is all i need.

I’ve owned a 9500, 9300 & currently have a E61. I do like the E90 features, but I always found the 9500 & 9300 a little too big. Not easy phones to carry in ones pockets! I might go for a E61i for my next upgrade.

bluejacker:
Take a look at the video. It rotates the phone straight up.

Yeah I do agree it’s kinda big but if I do get it, it’s probably be for the bigger keyboard and large screen real estate. I guess when it comes to the crunch it really depends on how and what you want to use the device for.

I always a great fans of communicator, since Nokia 9210 till 9300i (i passed 9500 cause its bricky form). But i can’t resist this e90. Yes it’s big but thank God it’s not as big as 9500. Maybe i’ll give a try for this one, beside i’ve desperatly waiting for 3g communicator.

I had teh opportunity to have a look and feel of teh E90 around 4 months back. I was amazed by the built and quality. Also i had posted about it in this site a few months back that the features are amazing too, its got navigator i guess along with the 9300 kind of keypad and dual cameras. I loved it at first site…. But looks like it would be very costly going by the features

just bought me E61… upgrade again? nah… not yet… I think I will wait till the price goes down a bit (which does not happen much for communicators in Slovakia)…
Awesome piece of HW!

just wondering that vibration avaiable or not! I used 9500 but have to change because the vibration.
February 15th, 2007 at 11:54 am
E90 has vibration. Read it in a german Review.
February 15th, 2007 at 3:10 pm
Not only dies it have vibration, it has a KICK ASS speaker for the ringtones. I just heard one and was blown away. Might need to turn down the volume a few notches from my normal settings w/ this phone!
February 15th, 2007 at 3:10 pm
.. and yes, the phone vibrates just as effectively too!
February 15th, 2007 at 8:18 pm
…. it’s enough to make me pretend everything is just FINE with my e61, but deep down there’s already a little voice saying “dang, i should have waited…” :p.

does this one have a vibratiion option?
March 16th, 2007 at 2:09 am
I currently own a E61 and i will definetly get a E90 because !
1)Big internal screen, lets me read pdf-s which:
2)Require more ram, e90 has 80 mb free ram after boot
3)A2DP, so i can listen music no longer through the crappy pop-port !
4)mini usb, very convenient way to connect e90 to the PC
5)Camera, been mising a camera with my E61
6)Keyboard, is a must for me !
7)Radio, i never had a radio symbian phone, this would be my 1st one !
And i will probably order a Norove, e 90 leather case, they make the best cases for mobile devices EVER, here is a link !
