I signed up for both the US and UK, as I suspect I’ll NEVER get an email that it’s available for the US….

I believe the original press release mentioned 2:nd quarter for the E61i.

I think my biggest worry here is that I won’t ever be able to test one before buying (seeing as I live in the US, and far away from any Nokia stores). I don’t think the size would bother me, and frankly it’s a lot closer to the dream laptop replacement I’ve been hoping for, but I would need to sit down and get to really type on the thing for a few minutes to see if my fingers can manage to hit the keys accurately enough (I found the e62 too slow, and opted for an n80 + bluetooth keyboard for now…)

There isn’t a fax function in the Prototype version of the e90
Nokia hasen’t confirmed if its gone or not

It’s a stretch to call the E90 a “Communicator”, there are so many software features missing. It is very disappointing.

THE FAX ON THE NOKIA COMMUNICATOR MADE IT UNIQUE.PEOPLE IN AREAS WITHOUT FIXED FAX LINES OR FACILITIES FOUND THIS A USEFUL WORKING TOOL.
FOR EVERY BUSINESS MAN FAX IS A MUST AND A MINUS FOR e90

If the new E90 doesn’t have a fax, then I will be stuck agin using 2 x phones! MY old 9300 AND the E90! Nokia, I NEED a fax!!!

Since the FAX is not supported on the E90, I am now forced to use two phones. My old 9500 for the fax, and the E90 for my calls and e-mails! Seriously, if I knew the fax wasnt supported by the E90 I wouldnt have bought it.

If E90 is communicator and is for business, probably we are wrong to translate this. E90 is communicator but not for business. As my knowledge, mostly business uses (one of them) fax. In other hand, business needs everything can be done right a way and using the simple way. What happened if the destination/receiver does not have email but fax?

I’m a solicitor and presently using the 9300i. The only reason i bought the 9300i was becoz of the fax. After reading all the review of the e90, i am very interested to change to it but is put off by the lack of the fax capability. Is nokia ever going to insert the fax application to the e90?
