And we reckon, like its predecessors in the Communicator range, the E90’s reach will be wider than that core group.

(HANY)
(DUAL SCREEN)
E90 is much superior than E61/ E70. Imagine that you could take a crisp and bright picture with 3.2 Mpx cam. if you’re into making a video, E90 offer you a DVD-Like quality video (same as N93, N95). Plus, if u are a gamer, this monster featured a 3D graphic (Open GL 1.1, again like N93, N95) for superb 3D-gaming experience. Not to mention about integrated GPS, S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 (improved internet web browser, FlashLite 2.0 etc), super-dooper 800×352 pixel truly wide screen and full fuctioned-control for an 240×320 external screen, TI OMAP2420 330 MHz processor (the most powerful processor for Symbian device at this moment) and 80 MB free RAM! yes I’m talking about free RAM after booted (E61/ E70 has just something like 19-22 MB free RAM after booted) etc.

so still this device just the same as E61/E70???

I just bought the e90 and am waiting to receive it. Anyone know if I have to pay extra for the GPS to work? I'm in the US. Also, do I have to pay extra for the video conferencing to work? Does the other person also have to have an e90?
Thanks!

Unfortunately there are still a few unknowns. GFX perf is way off the N95 and we don't know if it's hardware related ... also, the 2.5" socket may not offer AV Out even though it's described as AV capable.

The other thing to point out is that unless you know something we don't, the E90 is FP1 not FP2.

Looks like some of the folks here don't get it. E90 really cool communicator, should support video codec h.264, GPS, 3.2Mpix camera, wide high resolution screen. All this nice features I would like to have on my E61 :) This device blows away communicators on the WM at the moment.

Turl,
The hardware is different, the much bigger (nicer) screen, HSDPA (not available on the E61/E70) and the built in GPS to mention a few differencies.

i concur with Oliver, there is nothing much to wait with E90 coz for me there is no substantial difference between E90 from any other device such as E61, N93, except for its design.

unlike in the Old days, nokia's communicator leaves big difference behind from their other products. eg. 9110 have PDA features while 5110 does not, 9210 is a colored screen while 6210 does not, 9500 have wifi while 6600 does not. I mean there is no special features in E90 that would crave people or makes the people say "WOW".

THe only cons ive noticed in all symbian devices is that they have poor processing speed. If E90 can promise that they are integrated with fast processors then there is something that we would look up into.

The E90 looks great and from it's reviews, great features....though it will just bring back the dilemnas i had with the past communicators that i had from Nokia. I'm actually more eager to get the E61i since with my current E61, i sure am pretty satisfied.....:-) Just my opinion guys...
