Cha, Cha, Changes…
After more than three hundred posts, seven thousand comments, nearly fifty thousand photos viewed on Flickr and well over a million of visits to this blog, it's time for me to slow down a bit.

I will not quit updating the blog but rather slow down and update it less frequently. Perhaps I will keep it to weekly updates. I need to rearrange my professional and personal priorities and it leaves me with less time for E-series.org.
In the meanwhile some of my favourite blogs and good friends keep on blogging:
Symbian Guru, See Into S60, Tommi's Application Blog, S60 Tips, Darla Mack, SymbianV3, All About Symbian, and RingNokia
Thank you everyone~!

Ed,
I’m so disappointed. Your blog is one of my favorite places to visit and whenever E-Series shows up in my RSS I get excited. Good luck with everything and I hope you continue some blogging.
By the way, I have always been curious of 2 things about you, what city do you live in or near and what do you do for a living?
Good luck and all the best,
Jeb

How dare you have a life of your own! And this news on the eve of me getting my 4th E series phone. I may be forced to remove you from my tabs…..seriously though, your blog is a pleasure to view and it’s one of the most thought out blogs I can think of! Good Job and thanks!

Thank you Ed for everything. Your blog has been one of the greatest ever in this topic area. I’m sure your fans around the world (including people here at Nokia headquarters) are mourning right now…
Best of luck!!

All the best in your personal and official work… Take care and do keep up the blogs, its a daily routine for me to visit your blog, both from workplace and from home….
March 9th, 2007 at 3:30 am
Hi Ed,
Your updates will be sadly missed by me. I visit it at least once a day. It’s the reason why I now have more than 20 apps in my E61. But I understand your priorities and it is hard to carry on with what you’ve been doing without affecting your social, family and career.
All the BEST!

Hi Ajit,
Just visited your blog. I have been complaining to everyone I know as to why the volume output from earphones is so soft that I’ve all but given up listening to music when in a bus on in the MRT. It is so FRUSTRATING that many don’t seem to share the same opinion. What I had to do was to increase the settings in the equalizer; this way, the volume is much better than the default settings.
BUT what can one do for the soft volume when using REALPLAYER? Pls enlighten….ANYONE!?!?

Ed,
I’m sad to see things slow down, but I can certainly understand your reasoning. I think this will only grow your blog. You are already known for writing good articles and well-written reviews. By limiting what you post, you will only raise the bar higher in terms of quality.
The only thing I ask is that you continue Themes Friday. It’s easily the one post out of 100+ RSS feeds on Fridays that I look forward to the most.
Ricky.

Woe…I thought u might have taken ill or ran into a spot of trouble. I’m glad that’s not the case. I’m the Anomoly…the E70 user that fishes his way through all the E61/62/662i/65 hub-bub to get my E Series up to snuff with you heavy hitters. I never post but I have been checking and wondering what’s been going on. I’ll keep checking as the archieve are loaded so this site might as well be the Smithsonian for a NOKIA fan like me. 6820 brought me to Nokia. Treos and 8125’s after. Then the almighty E70 came via Ebay and it’s been a different world with both this blog and all you tech heads out there that build/ use / criticize/ and write about what these phones can do. Salling Clicker alone keeps all my friends in sheer amazement. I have You to thank for that. This is not fare well. Just so long for a few. See yall soon. Martian Luthernia

March 9th, 2007 at 8:09 pm
Ed, thanks for keeping us all updated. Your site has been the conduit into the wonderful world on Nokia e-series phones.
Keep the passion alive, I will be checking in from time to time and not daily as I have been doing.
March 9th, 2007 at 8:52 pm
Thanks for the constant updates. Weekly updates will be great. Thanks again.

Once again - thanks for all your support!

Ed, your blog is definitively the best blog of the E-Series. By that I give a greatly deserved applause on your first rate information and down-to-earth approach. Many many many thanks to you for the informative leads, info, and advice that I’ve found on your blog. I continue to visit and recommend your blog with pride.
Kudos and best wishes.

Nokia wakeup !!!!
Give this guy a job or make him responsible for managing the marketing and service departments for all new E-Series products. He has put your E-Series product range on the MAP.
He has done a fantastic job in promoting your product range and without this blog a lot of current and new Nokia users would have had problems in getting to know your product range. This blog is simple to use and easy to understand. As a matter of fact, Nokia marketing and your web support services department should be paying tribute to what Ed has done for them.
Ed, I used to be on Microsoft’s Advisory Council for Mobile product. Please send me your details so that I can forward to my friends there. They will certainly identify with the power of this blog for promoting new products. You certainly have a formula that works !!!!
Once again, thank you.
March 10th, 2007 at 8:33 pm

Wow…. I’m sure gonna miss your frequent posts Ed. Your blog has been an inspiration to many of us who own or are planning to be an owner of an E-Series phone. You have been a great source of information on the E-Series phones, software, how-to’s, etc…
I read your blog religiously…and visit it several times a day. I sincerely thank you for your contribution to the e-series community.
NOKIA - if you’re reading this, I agree with what Gordon said. You owe the success of the E-Series phones to Ed and his e-series.org blog. I believe many decisions to purchase an E-series phone was made after reading Ed’s blogs. I know I decided to purchase it after ploughing through this great site!
Once again Ed, a sincere and BIG THANK YOU for your contribution to the E-Series community.
All the best in your future endeavours!
Cheers,
Andrew
