Finally Friday - Themes, Themes, Themes
First up in this week's batch of themes for your Nokia E61 is "Dots". Dots is one of the official themes included on the new Eseries devices (E65, E61i and E90).
Next up are two great themes from aco_kuna. These themes are technically not for the Nokia E61 but they are too good to pass on.

Vista themes without changed icons? YUK!!!
I simply hate themes without changed icons. Go to http://www.dotsis.com, and download some pretty cool themes, also, u can have a peak at http://www.zedge.net for some good looking themes.

But don’t you mind that those Vista (and other) themes aren’t actualy for E61? Background isn’t in vector graphic, so it doesn’t fit E61’s screen. They are very nice, but not for (my) E61

the Dot theme i tried, problem still the chinese input background color. and also the internet search input also you can see any word cause the color of the font are same as the background. otherwise the Dot theme will be very nice.

I like dots very much. Although I would have preferred a circular clock dial, dots presents the square clock dial quite well. By far this is the theme I like the best. I am not sure who created dots, but hats off! You sure have a fan in me.
BTW, Is it high time to have a second theme contest? My vote would go for dots.

the problem now is it’s not working properly on e50, some lines are broken and couple other visual artifacts… eh nevermind

This is not the genuine nokia “dots” theme. The one posted in the friday themes from last week is the real deal. Check out some pics of the e65 and e61i and you’ll see the difference. The Dots theme from s60.cz is not quite right either. The battery and signal bars/indicators are different from the official Nokia Dots theme found pre-installed on a E65. When I installed it on my E50, I found that the battery indicator is not accurate. When I’m in the menu screen, it would show 2 bars LESS than what it is actually shown on the standby/idle screen.

Many thanks for the guidance. I already have the old dots installed in my e61. When I try to install the new dots using the link given by Milan, my e61 gives a message, “unable to install”. Any pointers?

when you want to install the new dots, you first have to uninstall the old dots, otherwise they will conflict. hope it helps.

I have an E70 and am bothered by your E61/E62 blinders in the area of themes.
I had to dig around online for a very long time to discover which phones the lovely themes you’ve presented this time were intended for (you neglected to state this).
Please look to the name of your blog, and realize that it isn’t only E61/E62 holders who read it. (It is, you see, one of the better blogs for E70 phones as well. There isn’t much else out there for us.)

For the E65, you can download the Dots variants by going through Download! > Themes. Dots Mocha is yummy.
