Nokia E61i Pr0n
I just can't get enough of the Nokia E61i. However, until I get my hands on one this great video overview will have to do.

Is it just me or does the Nokia e61i seem much faster than the E61?
Thanks GL.

I have noticed the same thing. Although E61i have the same processor as E61 (as I understood) it seems the E61i is much faster!

I got mine last friday and i must say it’s a beauty.
I switched from a windows mobile device.
The resposiveness is so much better than on win-mobile devices.
The only thing is, the browser seems to crash really often on large websites
But i had that with windows mobile too.

Yeah, it seems to me, that it`s faster.
I`ve found already a couple of propositions for Nokia E61i in Ukraine, although the price is… 599 USD!!! Well… Too much for the moment. In 6 months it should cost 400 USD, I think.

i have both, and to be honest, i didnt notice any diffrence in speed
and this may sound weird, but i still prefer using the E61

i have used both and the e61i is great. it is faster and the whole form factor and quality is superb/better. keys are also easier to use as the spacing has been increased. S/ware is also differnt on some menus. overall I much prefer it.

I’m very impressed, it beats my E61. Slimmer , better keys and a camera- very good phone.

is it worth the upgrade from the e61? or would you recommend the e90?

I have an E61 that I web browse with all day long.
Is this browser worse or more prone to crash ?

I have just bought mine e61i, yesterday..and I still have the e61…and the e61i is just great. the only thing what I was missing on my e61 was the camera…but now, everything is perfect.
enjoy! the browser is perfect! i didnt notice any problems at all.
I didn’t notice that the e61i is faster…I have just noticed the web browsing is faster…and the keyboard is perfect, and the “joystick” as well. I think its one of the best phones…I had over 91 different types of mobile phones..and the e61 I had for more than 5 months..thats amazing

Hi! Is the theme on the e61i in the video anywhere available? thx

I just got mine last week. It feels basically the same as the E61, but a tad lighter and slimmer. The camera is great, and it does feel a little more perky.
However - I can’t figure out how to get the keyabord to light up. On the E61 I was able to select a setting that disabled the light sensor, meaning that the keyboard lit up all the time. I can’t find that setting on the R61i - can anyone help?
Thanks!
Larry

It seemed the same speed as my E61, though for about 10 mins after startup mine is much slower, then it’s just like this.
Where is that ‘disable light sensor’ setting?

I have a review copy of the E61i in my hands right now, and have owned a E61 for 10 months prior to that. I don’t think there is any noticeable speed difference - it still takes ages to boot up compared to other comparable Nokias (anyone know why?), and launching Opera Mobile etc. seems about the same speed.
And the annoying “number bug” when using Opera is still there … so many of the functions/navigation commands still can’t be operated with one hand.

Hi, need help guys. Just bought the E61i and I am loving it. unfortunately, there are some set backs:
1) the additional programs (Golf Pro 2, Widset, WorldMate, etc) does not work. Everytime I select it, it says: Menu: System error (-1).
2) the alarm clock does not come with selected days for the alarm to go off (SE have this ability). For such a great phone its a pity this minor thing is lacking.
Appreciate if anyone can help me on this (shafrilp@yahoo.com).
