Let The Modding Begin - Black Nokia E61i
The Nokia E61i has just been available for a short few weeks and already we have the first example of a modded Nokia E61i.
This beautiful device was “Gmasked” (the company that wraps and decorate your device in a few microns thick plastic film) to create an all black Nokia E61i.
Thanks for the great photos Benny!

There is a slight spelling error
‘to create an all back Nokia E61i.’
Guess it should have said ‘an all BLACK’

Myself, I own one of those. I still prefer the original cover with its stainless steel back cover. Just my personnal opinion. Cheers

Just be carefull of the mod with stickers especially on the mocha part of the body. Once, u are sick of the mod although u can peel it off, you will also peel off the mocha part leaving you with a brown layer, especially so over prolonged period of use. For the metal back casing i guess its ok as it was not layered. I notice for my e65 some parts of the mocha was beginning to peel eapecially the edges. Anyway, luv the e61i in all its nakedness. In fact all phone should be naked, unless u are keeping it new for the next owner.IMHO

I want a Nokia E61i but I’m not ready to plunk down 500 bucks for it. Why is it my carrier (TMO) never picks up any smartphones that are worth keeping. I have an MDA and I’m ready for something new!

Hey Sam. Is your E65 peeling too? Mine has started to flake off. i’ve ordered one of the new red cases, but that one had better not peel too!

What i think would freakin sweeeet would be leave the silver metal parts as they are, and gmask the mocha area with a ferrari red.

Where can I get hold of a cover or Gmask for my Nokia E61i? I live in the UK, and I have a Vodafone-branded one, complete with their logo prined on the front and back of the otherwise beautiful finishing onf the case.
Brilliant site, very informative.

You can’t do this yourself. Yuo have to bring your cell phone to one of their kiosk. They will do the wrapping for you.

Nokia E51 is very impressive, but, the only thing missing is a QWERTY keyboard.
