Vacation

Last year was spent in Europe but this year we are going to China! Expect fewer updates during the next week and forgive me for taking longer time to reply to questions.

In the meantime you can catch a glimpse of my escapades over at my Flickr

See you soon!

Ha ha ha, you guys crack me up.
@ xtemujin Asia is the place to be. I wish this trip would include a visit to Singapore but sadly not.
@Andrew, would love to meet up but I will only be in Beijing. How about back in San Francisco?
    @macalex,
Vladivostok, that is cool! I’ve been to Moscow a few times and to Leningrad (That’s was the name when I visited St: Petersburg) once.. I would really like to visit Vladivostok… too little vacation.
    @ John,
Nice pictures! You have vistied many places in China I want to visit - Dalian, Harbin Shenyang etc.

OK COOL. If you like public gardens and parks by far the BEST is

“THE SUMMER PALICE” its utterly huge. and beautiful park
or royal palace. Worth the time if u like parks with
    green trees and chinese bridges.

Hey I’m planning to visit China next week , any tips about Cell phone Sim Card , I’ll be travelling to Shanghai , Beijing , Zhuhai , Harbin please also provide GPRS / EDGE rates on them I’ll decide either to take my E70 ( will get free wifi access at conference ) or N73 , does China have free hotspots for Wifi

  12. Don Says:

    Farhan,

We use 900/1800 GSM here, GPRS is very slow. It’s like 56K modem. No EDGE available. We also have CDMA (not sure if you know about it), it offers better Internet access. You can get either kind of SIM card easily. Not many free hotspots, usually in a hotel or coffee shop.

    Have a nice trip!

    Don

    Welcome to Beijing, China!
I am a local Beijinger and ready to be of any help…just send me a email.
Actually there is EDGE here in Beijing, in some areas.

  14. John A Says:

Cingular rapes US customers on calls and data. Been there and paid the price. But there is good 3G coverage in South China I recall…… And Edge. I survive on the free internet in most hotels.

  15. Ryan Says:

Excellent pictures. I really enjoyed them. Keep ‘em coming.

  16. Raz Says:

  17. xtemujin Says:

No worries bro. Maybe next time you’ll pass by Singapore.

  18. admin Says:
