John McClane’s Nokia E61/2
As those of you who have seen the Summer Blockbuster Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard, can tell, John McClane is not only a good Detective but has impeccable taste when it comes to mobile devices 
John and many other characters in the film are using Nokia devices.

A case is definitely a must! He should also think about upgrading as the metal on the E61i can definitely withstand more of a beating. Plus, I can think of a few apps that would really help him - that thing is fresh out of the box!

@jeasbe’: nice observation there! however, in the US, every time you dial long distance within the nation you need to dial ‘1′ before the area code.

you don’t need to dial ‘1′ first on a cell phone, although it still works if you do. But maybe McClane doesn’t know that.

I think it is not John’s E61, but it belongs to the hacker. And the hacker ask John to dispose it due to security reason

Yeah, John stole the phone from a business type walking down the road. Hacker (I’m a mac) boy has an impossibly fast 9300(i?) that does all kinds of magic (he must have hacked/upgraded it). Nokia must have paid good money to advertise its phone - I believe only Nokia phones got any screen time during Die Hard 4. I seem to recall some shots of the e90 as well.

Actually, I took more notice on the 9300. But definitely, Nokia was the real star of the show, in transformers too. =p

Its still john mobile at the time he uses it :P,,,,also i think reason there was no network was also because these hackers were trying to take over the country……i hate seeing wat he does next with that e61 tho ,,,,,truthlly i cried

Yeah it isn’t his and I don’t think the hackers neither. Just grabbed it from someone on the street. It was a pain inside of me as he slapped it onto the concrete sidewalk. Ok, depositing for security reasons… Why not. But then donate it to someone or place it carefully on a cab etc.
Hm, think the 9300 was stolen to… I need this “connect anywhere and kicks ass” cable!
btw. Although I love my E61i i am certain that the E61 takes more of a beating. (Thicker Metal, Heavy screen Armor etc.)

How exactly do you know that the phone is a E62 ? to me it looks same as E61.

Terrorists and Bruce Willis had the Nokia E61 and Nokia N90. The Apple Guy, Justin Long, had a Nokia E61 and Nokia 9300. The evil hacker had a Nokia 770 tablet.

In the end berry or nokia or berry or nokia decisions decisions its business applications that work with each other the way we need them to if they could get it all in the device and get it to work. At one point i thought windows mobile could do it but the fell asleep at the wheel i have a 9300 e61 curve 8300 and an 8800 7100 mpx 200 and 220 hp ipaq phone an sda t mobile cingular 8125 and in the end the Canadian one wins camera wi-fi nav software memo pad all the chat options you can handle with 3rd party software and its the smallest of the lot its a sad day when i wish they made a belt for all of them and shared my one number i guess now all we need now is an i phone with blackberry support with a usb port for my 120 gig hard drive full of music and get it implanted in my ears. Look out future here we go.
As if i didn’t have enough phones that 770 tablet is SWEET any one want to trade lol.

I was amazed that my phone Nokia 9300 was in the movie,particularly the hacker used it with John.Now I learned how to used it regularly when i have something to hack too,,,amazing phone.
I love the movie Die Hard 4….It tops here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The E61 and E62 use different connectors. The E62 uses mini USB and the E61 use the Nokia POP port so the housing will not fit where the connectors are placed.

Sir the mini usb port and pop port are located in the middle housing right? What if I install only the E61’s front housing and battery lid on the E62 will that work?
I have an E62 (from US) with worn out housing and I need to replace it but there’s no E62 replacement parts here in the Phils.
