Spare Parts For Nokia Eseries
My Nokia E61i is amazing! I have dropped the device on concrete, tile and asphalt and it is still going strong. Not even a noticeable scratch!
I thought I killed the device for good the other day when it slid down from the roof of my car. (I put it balancing on a bunch of books on the car roof) But despite the fall it worked great. It didn't even drop the call I was on!
However, it is good to know that there are several online vendors specializing in selling (original) spare parts for Nokia Eseries devices. Among the parts you can buy are keyboards, LCD displays, Nokia Eseries housing, microphones, camera, speakers etc.
Spare parts are available for the newer Eseries devices as well as the previous generation.
Four online retailers where you can purchase original spare parts for Nokia Eseries devices are:

I am thinking about getting an E61i for use with AT&T/Cingular. How do you like it’s functionality, design, features, etc? Which carrier do you have it with? Does it seem too bulky? I’m debating between the E61i and Blackberry Curve.

Does anyone know if you can put the keyboard from an E61 on an E63?

Sorry, I meant to ask if the E61i keyboard would work on an E62? It’d be a much cheaper way to eliminate the “stick” than buying a completely new phone. Thanks!

As I dropped my E61i last week and it has 3mm dent on the back, it’s great finding for me. Very thank you.

Been looking EVERYWHERE for a replacement frame/housing (faceplate) for my Nokia E61i and have found nothing! That link to Handy Design has it, but i dont understand the language and doesn’t seem to ship to the United States. The other three links only offer lcds and keypads. Is there a way to find the faceplate here in the States? Its a shame to have such an awesome phone with dents when otherwise it is perfect. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It is good to know but finding good quality spares is another thing,
I bought a cover set(includes slider and main housing) for my n80 off eBay and I found it to be cheap Chinese copies… camera lenses were missing of the front of one cover and keypads were made from different materials which made pressing keys next to impossible.
You are better off with second-hand spares than cheap Chinese rip-offs’.
So just be careful what you buy online, I managed to get my money back on my purchased as it was done through eBay.

Yeah, E90’s are in trouble. Beware screenmarkings on inner screen, you can find detailed pictures in my blog.

I like to know if there are instructions available on how to replace the body of the E61i… it looks so solid and not able to open the parts. Any clue ?

Instructions can be found here. http://www.e-series.org/archives/334. Where did you get your new faceplate from? I’ve tried cnn and they have none in stock. The only sites that have E61i faceplate is in German and I dont understand what they’re saying.
