There is no "server address" sepcifically for Yahoo or MSN messenger for the inbuilt IM on your Nokia phone. That connectivty needs to be provided by some IMPS provider. You can try http://www.mobjab.com

Norman, I use the native IM client in my E61i and it works ok. All you need is the address of the server and your account. There are some free services out there... just try to google for "free IMPS". Mobjab.com is one of them, try register to the website and point your IM client to http://mobjab.mobi:9090 (the server address).

Has anyone actually configured the IM on an E90 or E61? Are the settings sent via an text message as they are for internet or picture messaging? Does anyone have any idea what is entered in the Server name, Access point in use, Web address, User ID and Password windows? I've spoken to t-mobile and Nokia who don't seem to have any idea what I'm talking about. Any information appreciated.

What a shame! I have been using Verichat on my Palm for so long and it has been the best smart phone IM client i have seen so far. It was put out of business as Nokia has bought the company a while ago. I thought Nokia would have a nice IM tool in its smart phone like e61i afterwards. But it is just a mess on e61i

Hmm, 14 day trial only and then $45 to buy. Spendy little app if you ask me, better be worth it. IM+ is "only" $30 i think. I'd prefer free myself.
