Not Black - Titanium Nokia E61i
A reader was kind enough to point out one subtle difference - the black Nokia E61i is not black but available in certain markets as "Nokia E61i Limited Titanium Color Edition"

So it's not black - it's Titanium. In either case, I like it a lot.
Thanks for the pictures Francis.

I have not seen this in the Philippines yet
But would I really want to change my GMask Carbon Look E61i to a titanium one? Yes I would :p

Hello Ed:
There hasn’t been a post of any consequence from you for long. Seeing Flickr photos of the E61i and others in various hues is quite tiresome.
Why not give viewers some dope of how sales of the E90 are shaping up? The phone has been off the shelves in countries like India for quite sometime. Dealers say there is a problem with one of its speakers. It gives a hissing sound. So has Nokia recalled stocks from some countries?
Even more disappointing is Nokia’s refusal to cut the cost of what is an absurdly overpriced product. Especially after the advent of the groundbreaking Apple iPhone. Even Nokia’s CEO recently admitted the threat.
Regards,
Sudhir

Not only that, Sudhir.
I heard that the keyboard have some issues too. Dont quite remenber where i read before that some keys all leaving blemishes on the main screen when the e90 is folded. suposedly nokia had already taken action to fix this problem. has anyone have some news about this?
regards.

The E90, which is sold in US does not have the above mentioned problems - it is a revised version III. AFAIK, those issues has been resolved…

I’d seriously like to buy one of those Titanium ones. Is there any prognosis about them coming to Europe? Otherwise I’d like to see some info on buying options

New packaging for e61i (Black).
Flickr

This is what I just got for my Birthday from my wife. (Eat your heart out guys!)
1) It’s okay to call it Black. Check the flickr photos out. It’s described as T.Black BB (Titanium Black?)
2) New APAC Packaging(?) (See URL on box)
3) Note that in Singapore, you cannot find these with the usual Telco Bundles. You have to get them at official Nokia outlets as explained by the staff at the Nokia shops. And they vary in price. $698 or $648. Some outlets will allow you to tie contracts with with the local Singtel telco at point of purchase (at the Nokia outlets only), which will bring the cost down by about 200-300 dollars.
4) These has been spotted out of the Nokia outlets at even $610. (without contracts).
5) If you notice, the printed manual also features the black version of the phone compared with the blue packaging, which features the original silver packaging.
6) Limited Edition (no more?)

Sweet! Thanks for the photos Joker~!

i just got the phone a few days ago…. it is exactly the same thing but different color. and believe or not, my box is not the same as the one in the photo. its white and pink in color and it has nothing that says limited edition on it. but i searched high and low for photos of the limited edition color and turns out that the one that states limited edition color, the back battery color has a laser engraved with the serial number of the phone (XXX/600). its called the Nokia Business Partner version. There are only 600 of these in the world. It comes with a 1GB card instead of the usual 256mb, and all the usual accessories.
if someone teach me how to post photos on this site, i’ll be more than happy to post the photos up….

Wooo Hooo!!!
Got my brand new Titanium E61i yesterday. Solid phone and the I didn’t realise how handy a camera is when you have a qwerty + wifi + 3G data packet plan. Talk abt. instant online communications. I mean, I can take an instant picture or video and e-mail it out instantaneously. Awesome!!
My only gripe with the “black” / titanium keyboard is that the numbers and symbols like the plus sign ‘+’ and ‘=’ for example are harder to see as the contrast of blue and black isn’t as great as the blue with the original silver of the E61.

hi there, Had been reading this site for few days and had to admit this site convinced me to buy the Nokia E61i finally. I had been using Nokia N91 before this, and boy am i soooo satisfied with E61i, specially due to its blackberry features. I have bought the Titanium black colour. I am in india and here that colour has been launched 15 days back and to be honest i love the looks of the T-Black. It rocks.

Just bout the Titanium edition in Singapore, my 3rd E61i (talk about die hard!). The first two were the shiny edition and now with a colleague and one with my brother, they have sound quality problems. The Titanium one has much better sound quality, just a little inferior compare to my E61. E61 has the best sound and connection, used to do two hours conference call with USA without breakage, and crystal clear. Bought the Titanium at Changi airport, expensive!
Anyway, go for the plunge. The look, with black themes, can kill.

Hi all,
Just FYI. AFAIK, the black/titanium, etc. Is NOT Limited.
The 600 units that are engraved “NOKIA BUSINESS PARTNER” are the same Black/Titanium version that’s out there in the market today. These 600 units were given to Nokia Partners at Lisbon in Portugal that was held in October 2007 and the only difference is that it’s engraved with those words.
A colleague of mine attended the conference and has one of those units, and I personally own one that I got from the open market. Since they are not limited, you will be able to buy the Black/Titanium unit for about $640 Singapore Dollars.
The other reason that I say it’s not limited is because, all the Nokia Adverts in the daily newspapers feature this model in Black/Titanium as a default. These adverts are not from resellers, but Nokia published Adverts featuring the Nokia For Business phone range. I see more and more people owning this model in Singapore.
Where to get it?
Some of you have written to me from overseas. I’d love to get these across to you. But I’m not out to make anything and don’t have a mechanism to receive payment from you. I would like to point you to Yahoo Auctions in Singapore. You may see a Black/Titanium e61i there once in a while.
http://sg.auctions.yahoo.com/sg/search?p=e61i&cat=0
You probably can deal with these parties as they would have a better way to receive your payment.
Cheers!

Is the Nokia E61i different from the Nokia E61i GMRS? The GMRS is more expensive by 200 USD. Is it just a software difference? Or is the E61i GMRS = Titanium Edition? Can anyone let me know? Thanks!
