I got the latest firmware recently
Yes its kinda slow, but will do
There are certain old issues, but i got rid of my major problem,
The ear piece volume is higher, 200% better than before.
network strength seems better.
voice quality and wlan connect is faster
opera is smoother
fring hangs most of the times :I(
gmail is a bit slow, application

whr is the damn t9 or the dictionary mode, the option exists but no use

well its an ok update, nothing great, but the clarity has improved

i wish i had waited for the e71

Firstly, backup your phone (applications, contacts…etc) using the provided Suite and/or Memory card

Secondly, do a hard reset (the way to do it is on this very page)

Thirdly, run Nokia Software Updater and it will guide you step by step.

And finally, of course you need an internet connection to download the firmware to your device.

i newly bought the Nokia E61i so i dono much about can anyone tell how to see which firmware version my set has and also how do i update the firmware also it would be greatfull if u could suggest me some good applications for the phone to install.

I was upgrading the firmware, the fone got stuck, no when i press the power button i just get a white screen. WHAT TO DO? can anyonbe help me out….

Well, guess what - the new Updater Software does not run under Windows Vista - which it tells you not at install time, but when you try to run the program after rebooting the computer!

i did install the Updater Application and everything is well,

but when i try to update my E61i i keep get the Meg (Phone is not supporte)!!!!!!!!

Nokia has removed this new software for E61i

“Support for E61i has temporarily been removed from the Nokia Software Updater service. Other Nokia products are not affected. Support will be reintroduced as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

And i wanted to buy te E61i today…

I tried to run the nokia software updater for my e61i-1 and all the connections are fine - but the updater responds “Connected Phone Not Recognized.”

Anyone have this problem?
