Mail For Exchange 2.2
There is a new version of Mail for Exchange available. It is not a major upgrade which introduces new features but a minor update. The new version, Mail for Exchange 2.2, introduces support for two new devices; Nokia N77 and Nokia N82 but according to the release notes there are no other new features or changes.

Hi,
Installed the new version on my E61 with no problems.
However, and I know it is not directly related, I have a very strange problem since version 2 of M4E:
When I create a meeting on my E61, it appears in outlook 1 hour later. For example, if I create a meeting from 15:00 till 15:30, it appears in outlook at 16:00 till 16:30. When I fix the time in outlook (and re-sync) it stays correct in M4E.
Anyone else encountered such a problem?
Thanx

Re the Outlook problem, it sounds like a time zone problem to me.
Can you confim both Outlook and the E61 are in the same time zone?

Hi,
Does anyone know if there are plans to allow the M4E client to read emails like you have on E90 etc if using POP3/IMAP access (i.e, the standard email client where there is a listen option in the menu)? It is quite annoying to have this feature left out when using a M4E account, especially if this is your primary account.
Thanks.
Andrew.

Did anyone hear about the e71?
It sucks that it’s got a smaller screen size.

John - thanks for the idea, but I already checked that.
The e61 is set to “GMT +2:00 Tel Aviv” time zone
and my laptop (running Vista) is set to “(GMT +02:00) Jerusalem”.
So it looks like that is not the problem.
And again, if the problem was time zones, then the meeting times between the e61 and outlook would have always been offset - wouldn’t it?

I really hate these 2.xx version, because they keep a bug that with some accesspoint Email can only be sent by synchronising.
It’s unbelivable that the development part appease this bug exist from version 2.0 to 2.2..
Again, I’ve to go back to version 1.6 that dosen’t contain the bug.

I read through the release notes and still do not see it, but wanted to check with someone using it - does this version let you sync sub-folders under Inbox?

Any further info on the 1 hour sync problem?

I haven’t received my e51 yet, but also make sure the daylight savings time is correct on both devices. I’ve seen this cause similar issues in windows mobile. Confirm both timezone and daylight savings settings are the same on both devices

I just got SSL working again on my e61 on m4e 2.1 after the certificate changes in that versions. For anyone who is still struggling with this try downloading the full chain of self-signed certficates (I had two to download to my e61) and use the domain name for the server rather than ip address (the latter worked under earlier versions and worked w/o SSL but not w/ SSL). These two steps were what finally fixed my protracted SSL email problems with M4E.

I also has the same 1 hour sync problem, the daylight is correct on both sides and when the meeting created on Exchange it looks ok on the phone (in the correct time), but when the meeting is created on the phone its one hour forward in Exchange.
Any ideas ? Solutions?

I have the same 1 hour sync problem from Outlook to Nokia E90. The time zone and the daylight are the same on both devices. When I create a meeting in Outlook, it appears 1 hour later on E90. Any solutions? Thanks.

Hi Hamood,
Mail for Exchange doesn’t support Subfolders yet. If you rely on subfolders you can try out Dataviz’ RoadSync which is also an Exchange ActiveSync solution but with support for subfolders:
