Well, have tried every version of BB connect and is true. This device will not support the Blackberry client. So much for being competition for the BOLD. If you still need Blackberry Business connectivity, then sorry to say it, but stick with the BOLD.

Can't wait to get the E71. Its out here in Malaysia already. But will hold off until I can get the plug in for isync. Have everything synched with my MAC for my E61i. That's the only thing holding me back. At the moment, no news from the apple site yet.

I am not very pleased with the design on the E71. Blackberry design is not my style. I was expecting another gullwing. I love my E70 and was looking forward to replacing it with a device with 3 times the RAM but with similar design. I guess the gullwing is extinct :(. Shame really :(.

Hi Lino,

Correct, I am able to go to other phone functions, while the email is sending. But (I guess), unless I disable the "send immediately" option, I will not be able to continue typing another email until the first is sent.

I often run into this problem, as my EDGE network can be sketchy while in buildings, even if I'm close to a window!

So, Mr. Admin,

IPHONE 3G or E 71-2?

I had plenty of reasons to stick with Nokia but the
new 3G version Iphone has answered all the problems.

Why stick with Nokia?

Currently rocking a gullwing E70-2

Do you guys know that the new E Series phone will not have the Blackberry client available to install like the older models (E61). The main reason I love my E61 is because I can use it with my corporate email server to access my email. This totally blows and Nokia will not gain any new customers if it does not offer the blackberry client.

"The new phones do not include Blackberry service, included on all of Nokia's previous corporate phones"

Rats, No BB Connect means no support from my Company. The data charges for The Mail For Exchange trial we did was nuts - it seemed to be pinging the server so much. At least with BB Connect, most carriers have a flat rate international roaming option for BB data - this makes our roaming use predictable. With Mail for Exchange our data charges when roaming are as per standard data roaming rates which is a rip-off.

I'm hoping BB Connect shows up and just wasn't in the original launch info. Our IT guys ironically are more open to deploying iPhones with the 2.0 firmware direct Exchange support and the admin tools to control device wipe, etc.

I have a Nokia e61i whis is sooooo slow. Does anybody know if Nokia improved the speed of the UI for E71?? This is very serious concern and something which keeps me thinking of going back to the Blackberry camp.

@Naga,
Here is how to quickly delete multiple messages at once:
http://www.e-series.org/archives/71

@BC
I haven't heard anything about BlackBerrry Connect support. You should try out MfE, many companies with BB BES servers also open up support for Exchange ActiveSync.
Cheers
