My IT manager has tried to set up a profile this morning to link to our Exchange 2007 server. This not only failed to connect but in doing so deleted my existing personal email mailbox settings. Sometimes mail is sent quickly. Sometimes it can be nudged by going into the Outbox and hitting "Send" again, maybe a couple of times. Sometimes the mail just won't go. Its very inconsistent on my phone where sometimes it works and sends quickly, other times it will queue forever. And then if you 'Save as Draft' it deletes the text I just wrote!
