I know I hate finding stuff in this phone and I've had it for around 2 years now. I wish they made more use of the qwerty to design a search function.

@ Daniel--
Cute comment, but believe it or not, the manual is wrong.
it tells you to go to a menu option that does not exist.

If you lost your voicemail number you can request it using a service command. Just dial *#62#. The phone will prompt you if you want to change the voicemail status and the left softkey will say "Number." Selecting Number will show you the mailbox number.

I had the same problem on the Nokia E61i. I downloaded the correct voicemail number, but it came up as no such number when I pressed one to speed dial. As you say it's nowhere in the handbook and I spent hours searching (Nokia help closed over w/e). I knew that dialling 123 would connect me to voicemail so at least I could get to it that way.
Using your guide was very helpful, but there is no 'Organiser' folder on the E61i!
For the E61i you need to go to Tools and then across to Voice Mail folder, click Options and the 'change voicemail number' will come up. I then put in 123 (not the full number as supplied by Orange) and it now works.

Can anyone help please, I am with Cingular in Los Angeles, my voicemail logo appears in the right hand cnr of my E61 One circle of the logo is empty and the other one is covered, I ahve called my VM and there are no messages in it, Anyone know how to get rid of it? I know that when there is infact VM that both circles are clear. What does one circle empty and 1 circle covered mean?

DEC 29 --THANKS for the tip! I accidentally changed my speed dial [#1] voice mail. When you dial voice mail and change it to speakerphone while prompted for the password it sends a tone and *&%! it up....Also, I have made some mistakes entering numbers because e61 disallows [right?] putting spaces of dashes in the phone number entry! -----> Steve in NYC.
