I have cingular media works unlimited grandfathered wich comes with unlimited data and text. Worked there got it 3 days before expired. Well I read their T&C about data usage where they can terminate for numurous reasons wich makes me worry about high usage. I'm about 200 MB a month. Do people really sift accounts.

I posted a comment earlier about a player that is able to play avi's. Had no luck there so found a converter. I have not tried it yet but seems worth a try.

My E61 is a "second" cell - mainly for backup and wifi. Thus, my choice of a
"cell plan" was unique. What filled the bill perfectly is T-Mobile's Pay as you
> Go plan. You can give them less - but the best deal is for $100 you get over 1000 minutes that last a full YEAR. No bills - nothing "munches" at your minutes. It's a great plan for low use.

Hi Jason,
It all depends on your carrier. I use Cingular so I went with something called "MEdiaNet" unlimited (I think). If I remember correctly it is $19? per month for UNLIMITED data. There are cheaper plans if you don't plan to use that much data. Also, T-mobile in the US often has pretty good plans.
Cheers!

Hi Jason,
I am not quite sure if I understand your question. If you only plan to use the Wifi connection you don't need a regular cellular data plan by your carrier. However, you might need to get some kind of Wifi /Hotspot plan if you want to use the device outside your normal Wifi coverage.
Even so, I would encourage you to get some kind of data plan from your carrier - this device is so capable so without a data plan you are missing out on many goood feature.
Cheers

Airtel in India's got a new unlimited data plan for Rs. 140 per week. Good luck getting high speeds though. I'm in Bangalore and do manage 6-8 Kb per sec but not more than that most of the time.

I have Pocket Internet Total from T-mobile and just hit 560 MB in only 2 week times, by listening internet radio and using the podcast. Btw podcast is very cool application, but does anyone know a good way to play the podcast *.m4v files? Because the internal player couldn't play this kind of files. And i don't want to copy them back everytime to my PC to change them into right format.

In India we get a 100MB per month from Orange for Rs. 500 or approx. $10. From airtel we get 1gb per month for the same cost, so am ot getting killed yet, but if we dont get some unlimited plans soon, i definitely will.
