In order to get rid of the annoying small rectangular boxes is to have Nokia provide a font that reads characters such as "Courier New". This by the way is the same issue in MS Word if you use a Font that does not support accents. Your Nokia may be able to input accents but it will not be able to read accented text sent by other fonts as from the web or third party applications unless it is a standard set like Courier New. The geniuses at Nokia should provide such Font downloads.

I am used to the Palm version of Metro. How can I import the other cities on the zip file. They appear to be in a Palm format and i have been unable to use the Nokia installer to download additional cities. Any advise????

I don't like it - I would love to see maps in it as I usually find my way around a train network using those. Lists of stations is no good to me.

Hi there, I get the same problem after installing it on my N80. The letters appear as little boxes. I changed my language settings but it does not help.

regards

Im not sure if its a bug. I get little rectangulars when Metro displays the computation. Anyway to get around this? Suspect its a font issue. My E61 is with support for Chinese Chars.

I, too, am a bit disappointed. It's a much less intuitive interface than on the Palm or UIQ platforms. I frequently inadvertently exited the program while trying to enter data or change settings. The small fonts are also very difficult to read (probably more Nokia's fault than Metro's). Perhaps someone else can tell me why the preferences keep re-setting to NO despite being re-set to YES. (Preferences include using fewest connections, station name auto fill. etc.)

Hmmm. If only I could read that really small font on the list of directions on my E61. Any way this can be made larger?

The Palm OS has touch screen, and since the UI remains the same as the Palm OS version, I think that touch screen devices will have an advantage.

I agree that this version isn't as good as the Palm version. However, since this is the first release for S60 3rd edition I think it is a first good step forward (but I am already hoping for a future update) :-P

I agree with Charles' assessment.

In addition - it appears that preferences do not save and the "Select" logic of the left sofkey is messed up.

I installed it this AM as well.

I agree with Charles' assessment. In addition - it does not appear to save preferences.
