Dude your site is far and away the best E-series site around. Your articles are always fantastic, and regular updates make me happy. All I could ask for is maybe a little more E70 love…but I know the E61 is your main phone. Keep up the great work!

This is absolutely, hands down, the best site for e61 owners. Without this site my first week of owning a ‘61 would have been more frustration than fun … Thanks for everything!

Hi, your site is cool. Im actually planning to buy E61, the main purpose is for browsing and playing mp4 movies.
Do you know if E61 can play an mp4 movie, stored in the minisd, size of around 500mb. Thanks.

E61 will play mpeg-4 video files, no problem. Just make sure they aren’t too big (320×240 is ideal). I have a 2GB card with lots of Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes. Considering buying SmartMovie, though, as the RealPlayer seems to be dropping frames.
SmartMovie will even play DivX-files.

I’m also diggin all the Mac OS X + E61 love… The focus on Macs really helps me since I am mac only and basically tossed the PC Suite software in the trash.

All my life I’ve had a phone only for calls because there was never a phone that was good enough for me - until now! The E61 rocks! You wont believe the large amounts of unsecure wifi nets around me. Anywhere you go you can always come online. E-series.org is a true companion when moving to the next stage of E61 extravaganza things you can do. I’m hooked. I’m a believer. I have seen the light. It’s coming from my E61!

Thanks Fried, you mean I have to buy a new software to play the video files?
Im choosing between N73 and E61. I really dont know what would be the advantage of E61, maybe only the display size.

Ray - I bought smartmovie and have had a hard time with it. would love it if someone got it and got me up and running with it!!!!

Ray: You don’t have to buy SmartMovie, but I found that RealPlayer was dropping frames on the mpeg-4 converted files. I have heard from other people who have NO problems with RealPlayer, so it might be that it doesn’t like the conversions done by ffmpegX (Mac video conversion software).
Others (on PCs) are having great success with SUPER.

It’s really nice blog.
I’m going to buy e61, the only one thing witch stop me is VIOP that support only SIP servers and not STUN and it is inpossble for NAT.
but anyway it’s yhe cheapest device with wlan and it’s nokia, hoppefully next firmware will solve some missing staff,

I got my e61 last week and got a 2gb card, but it’s only recognizing 1gig worth. Anyone else having a similar problem? Also, how can I play just regular .mpg files? Great site btw! -Ron

Mine is 2Gb also but it shows as 2Gb.
