On the Phone, go to the mailbox you want to clean out. Select "Options->Mark/Unmark->Mark All" (or individually). Then "Options->Delete". They remain as icons with a slash in them. -Then go to the SBC/Yahoo (or other mail) site and delete them there. -Now go back to that mailbox and select "Options->Connect". Let it sync with SBC/Yahoo on the phone. -Voila...no more messages. I believe there's some kind of security barrier that prevents the phone from deleting the messages on the other end. It may be adjustable but darned if I've found out how yet. In the meantime, at least my mailbox gets cleaned out. I'm using the pop3 protocol but the only way (and this will prove true for you all as well) to delete the messages from the phone is to select the 'delete from phone and server' option.
