On the other hand they convert the contact in sms when sending visiting card from contact menu which makes it compatible with all hand sets. The only way to insert a contact that I know of:
while in the message writing screen

select text msg (so you get back to your message)

I know this is quite a workflow, and I am also not happy with it, but so far, I think this is the only way to do it.
