No Place Like Home

Vacation is nice but there is no place like home! Especially when you come home and find a few notices of delivery attempts from FedEx and UPS. I ordered some gadgets that now are waiting for their new home. With a bit of luck I can pick them up tonight and post something tomorrow. Stay tuned….

It will take me a while to get up to speed with email, comments and postings so please bear with me for the next few days.

I want to thank Daniel for blogging here while I was on vacation. I enjoyed reading his posts from my E61 in Europe :-)
I am sad to see that e60blog is temporarily put on hold. However, I will do my best to convince Daniel to continue to post here until he revives his blog.

Thanks Daniel~!

Welcome back. I have found your blog to be quite useful as a resource of valuable information and appreciate the effort you put into it.

Mr. Admin I have a question for you. Where did you purchase (or receive) your E61 from? I am looking at online retailers; however, none of the retailers offer keyboards that are strictly “American English” as yours.

For example some keyboards have Spanish or Arabic characters on them.

    Cheers,
    Me

Welcome back! How was the wi-fi in Europe?! I’ll be in Amsterdam in 2 days and then I’ll go to Prague. I hope my E61 will be a good companion for the trip!

    Hi Mike,
I didn\’t find as many open/unlocked wifi networks as I find here (SF Bay area) so I guess I am spoiled when it comes to stumbling upon many open WiFi networks. I mostly relied on the GSM network for data. But that was interesting in itself - first time, I really came across 3G!

    Hi Dave,
I have been trying to follow the adventures of e61addicted. I like the blog very much. I just wish I would have listened to my old man and taken those German classes in school seriously…. :-(
I also have to rely on machine translation to follow the blog and that is less than ideal…
    Why didn\’t I listen to my father\’s advice and study German…. :-(

Does anyone have any idea what the icon is between the bluetooth anf BB icons?
(I dragged the screen shot onto the message box, so I hope it shows up)

    /Users/jndalpe/Documents/Nokia strange icon.jpg

  10. MacBerry Says:

    Guess it didn’t…
the icon looks like a an upside down pair of spectacles that one would wear on the bridge of your nose. One of the circles has a dot in it.

    i believe it means voicemail
