You may well be asking why bother developing a proprietary client for the S60 3rd edition phones when SIP works just fine. Well the answer to this question is two fold; Firstly, most of the enterprise VoIP systems are only just starting to support SIP and have started with SIP trunks and not endpoint device support, after all, they make more money selling their handsets rather than others SIP handsets.
I was extremely fortunate to a) happen to be in Amsterdam last week, and b) receive an invitation to attend Nokia World. I was only able to attend the event for a few precious hour so this is my brief 30,000 feet summary from the show floor.
